The toughest difficulty in the new system is Torment which features a slider increasing the difficulty even further. Each level of difficulty has a corresponding level of Greater Rift and increases the chances of finding more treasure. This made me wonder what exactly is the benefit of the new torment tier levels.
Difficulty in Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls has changed greatly over the course of the game.
Torment refers to the highest ten levels of difficulty in Diablo 3 as of D3v2 and Reaper of Souls. It is unlocked when one character on the account reaches level 60 regardless of whether or not Reaper of Souls is installed. The level of the monsters is entirely scaling though. 90 Gold Find 90 Magic Find 180 Experience.
